Deze film was ook zwak. En was dat echt Joan Jett de rockstar van vroeger? Moest mezelf naar het einde sleuren. Na een keer in slaap gevallen te zijn, toch maar afgekeken.

Deze was dus niet echt geweldig, eigenlijk erg saai. Die vrouw en die TomTom, heel irritant. Door Maria Bello haalt de film nog net 2.

Verder nog kleine bijrollen van jaren '80 zangeres Joan Jett en een kleine rol van Olympia Dukakis. Het is geen topper maar ik heb me zeker vermaakt met deze film.

Als je van dit soort type films houd raad ik "I spit on your grave" aan, die vond ik een stuk beter. Het is de regisseur bij het maken van deze film zeker gelukt zich te conformeren aan Stephen King, alhoewel er toch weinig horror en mysterie valt te bespeuren.

Het ademt wel de sfeer uit en de film ontwikkelt zich in het begin ook erg sterk. Helaas komt de film uiteindelijk tekort om sterk te blijven en de tweede helft is eigenlijk behoorlijk saai.

Hierin blijft het echt in gebreke en dat is erg jammer. Om die reden is het maar een middelmatige productie die gebaseerd is op een van de boeken van Stephen King.

Maria Bello leverde goed acteerwerk en zette Tess Thorne sterk neer. Bijna helemaal eens met Brabants. Inderdaad best een sfeervolle film, die anders is dan anderen, maar toch niet buiten de boot valt omdat ie te bijzonder is.

Ik vond de film wel steeds sterker worden, vooral omdat de hoofdpersoon accellereerd in doen en laten Dit is een heerlijke film, voor een goed avondje relax film kijken, lekker spannend, beetje horror en veel psycho gedoe.

Ik ga hem zeker nog eens zien, en inderdaad puik acteerwerk van de heerlijke Maria Bello. Rare thriller. En met iedere keer die zogenaamde "Golden Girls" types eerder oudbollig dan spannend.

Ook "Knight Rider" achtige Tom Tom werd ik niet vrolijk van. Zal film extra psychologisch tintje moeten geven maar ik vond het enkel storend. Matige film gebaseerd op een verhaal van Stephen King dat qua sfeer nog goed zit, maar weinig spanning weet te bieden.

Op een bepaald moment lijkt het allemaal vrij voorspelbaar en neem je al die ongeloofwaardigheden erbij omdat je vermoedt dat het allemaal in haar hoofd afspeelt.

Niets is minder waar. Enerzijds verrassend, anderzijds totaal niet meer logisch en soms zelfs wat aan de flauwe kant. Ik denk dan aan die oudere vrouwen en de tomtom.

Erin C Super Reviewer. Jan 28, Not because it's a network for women or anything of the sort, a good movie is a good movie, it's just that their films are usually very melodramatic and soapy and I simply do not care for that type of storytelling.

Their movies based on real-life crimes are pretty sensationalized so they can get the most viewers possible to watch their film.

Like I said, it's not my type of storytelling. So, color me surprised, when I find out that this is a Lifetime TV movie only seconds after renting it.

This is coming from someone that, less than a week ago reviewed Finders Keepers and thought it was terrible, but I felt so nervous about my rental.

Tess drives on to the address which turns out to be Big Driver's home. Breaking in, she finds graphic photos of his victims and photos of the brothers together with each body.

There are also photos of her being raped by Big Driver. Realizing that Little Driver is not innocent, she no longer feels guilt about shooting him.

Hearing noises from an outbuilding, Tess enters to find Big Driver working at a bench; confronting him, she fires twice before the gun empties and she runs outside.

He painfully follows her but she hits him on the head with a nailed plank like the one that caused the flat tire.

As he is trying to escape, she calmly reloads and shoots him in the groin and watches him die. Doreen appears again and urges her to leave quickly.

An anonymous tip leads police to the bodies in the culvert, and to Big Driver's house with the incriminating photos. At home shortly afterwards, Tess receives an anonymous call from a woman she realizes is Betsy, who says, "I know what you've done.

If only it weren't such a disturbingly retro and sadistically sensationalized take on the subject. If only it were any good at all.
