Supposedly, and I checked on Amazon, the uncut version is minutes. Can you confirm that there is such a thing as an uncut version? So I finally got around to watching this… And I feel like they somehow managed to make this one even more confusing than the original series was.
I just hope the next one gives us some answers. This one kind of overloaded us with questions as it is, and answered very few of them. I can only imagine how confused the people who have never seen the original series must be, as things probably make a lot less sense without that to make comparisons to.
Really, the only time he actually started annoying me again was from the point with the spears on, before that his behaviour was really perfectly understandable considering what had happened and how nobody would actually tell him anything.

When encoding in hi10p , the original frame , when being encoded loses some detail where there is little to no contrast with adjourning blocks ie mainly the parts that are dithered the resulting image has a higher colourspace that is arguably closer to the original frame before being encoded in 8 bit on the bluray.
In extremis , imagine the original of a picture has a green part. That green is replaced by alternating yellow and blue pixels.
In the same line of thought , downscaling also creates new colours. HI10p uses colourspace. HIpp uses colourspace 24 bits per pixel for every pixel.
If source material in full 24 bit were to be available , hipp would be a very good option for encoding. Since a few years there are x builds who offer that option.

If I click on cancel, it still proceeds with the process, beginning with transcoding the audio, which takes a short bit. Then, it transcodes the video, which takes an unusually looong time.
It finishes the conversion, but the video of the file ends up as less than spectacular, with random blockyness of varying colors and color bleeds.
The video seems watchable, but nothing like it should look the original download from here is perfect. I have tried this with an unrelated movie, and it worked.
However, with the p Eva 3. So far, no luck. Thank you! Great release you guys. Unfortunately the movie was terrible, but hopefully the next one will be alot better.
Every utility does the same thing really — it demuxs the video and audio and encodes them separately and muxes them back into the container afterwards.
